2026 Carson Scholar

Padua’s Mina Nowroozi ’28 Named Carson Scholar for Leadership, Service, and Impact in the Fight Against Blood Cancer

Padua Academy is proud to celebrate sophomore Mina Nowroozi ’28 on being named a 2026 Carson Scholar, a prestigious honor recognizing students who exemplify outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to service. As a Carson Scholar, Mina will receive a $1,000 college scholarship invested on her behalf, along with a Carson Scholars Fund medal and certificate.

Mina’s commitment to making a difference extends far beyond the classroom. She serves as the Student Visionary and President of Padua’s Blood Cancer United Club, where she has led with compassion, determination, and purpose. This year, Mina raised an incredible $16,035 individually in support of blood cancer research and patient services. Under her leadership, Padua’s team, Road to a Cure, raised a total of $30,320.

Her efforts were recognized at the Delaware Grand Finale Celebration, where Mina was honored with the United in Mission Award for Advocacy, a testament to her leadership and dedication to raising awareness and inspiring others to take action.

Mina’s passion for this cause is deeply personal. As the older sister of a cancer patient, she brings a profound sense of empathy and purpose to her work. Through Blood Cancer United, she not only raises critical funds but also helps amplify the voices and stories of those impacted by blood cancers.

Alongside her, Vice President Chloe Lewandowski ’28—also an older sister of a cancer patient—played a key role in the club’s success, raising $6,160. Together, their leadership helped Delaware students achieve a remarkable Grand Finale total of $371,839 in support of the mission.

Mina’s recognition as a Carson Scholar reflects the very best of Padua Academy: academic excellence, faith-driven leadership, and a commitment to serving others. Her work is already making a meaningful impact in the lives of many, and her future is undoubtedly bright.

Padua Academy congratulates Mina on this well-deserved honor and celebrates the incredible difference she—and students like Chloe—are making in the world.
