Padua Alumna Mirabella Troncoso ’23 Named 2026 Truman Scholar

Padua Academy proudly celebrates alumna Mirabella Troncoso ’23 on being named a 2026 Truman Scholarship recipient—one of the nation’s most prestigious honors for students pursuing careers in public service.

A junior at the University of Delaware, Mirabella is double majoring in political science and public policy and has distinguished herself as a passionate advocate for civic engagement and leadership. Selected from a highly competitive national pool, she joins an elite group of scholars recognized for their commitment to making a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.

At UD, Mirabella has combined academic excellence with hands-on experience in government, law, and public service. Her work includes leadership roles in student government, Mock Trial, and pre-law organizations, as well as internships and community engagement initiatives focused on expanding access to civic participation—particularly for young people.

Through the Truman Scholarship, Mirabella plans to pursue a joint J.D./M.P.A., focusing on election administration and constitutional law. Her goal is to develop policies that strengthen democratic participation and ensure more equitable access to the voting process.

From her time at Padua to her continued success in college, Mirabella exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose and serve others with integrity. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and look forward to all she will achieve in the future.  #PaduaProud
