On September 22nd, the Class of 2029 gathered with their families at St. Anthony of Padua Church for Freshman Convocation. This cherished tradition marks the first time our newest Pandas and their parents join together for Mass, beginning their Padua journey in faith and community.
During the liturgy, the freshmen pledged to embrace Padua’s mission, carrying forward our motto “Sauviter sed Fortiter” — Softly but Strongly — and committing themselves to spirituality, scholarship, service, and sisterhood. Each student received a yellow rose, a meaningful symbol of their welcome into Padua’s sisterhood and the bright years ahead.
Once Mass was over, a picture was taken on the Altar of members of the Class of 2029 with Alumnae mothers and grandmothers, now all part of the sisterhood!
We extend our gratitude to Campus Ministry, Mr. Tom Mucchetti for his beautiful music, and Fr. Vincent Kumar for leading the Mass.
A special thank you as well to the students who participated and helped make this celebration so meaningful:
