Padua Community Joins Together for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This October, the Padua community came together in a powerful display of unity, support, and compassion through our limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt campaign. Designed and sold by our student business leaders (pictured with the shirt), the shirt was available as a pre-order only sale from September 17–26 through the Padua School Store. Orders arrived mid-October, just in time for our community-wide dress down day on Friday, October 24.
Students, faculty, and staff proudly wore their shirts to “Fight Like a Sister”—filling the halls with pink, solidarity, and hope for all those affected by breast and ovarian cancers.
Supporting Unite for HERWe are proud to share that
100% of proceeds from this campaign, totaling over $3,000, will benefit
Unite for HER, a foundation dedicated to providing integrative therapies, resources, and emotional support for individuals navigating breast and ovarian cancer.
Founded in the Philadelphia region in 2009, Unite for HER has expanded to offer vital programs nationwide. The organization’s core values—compassion, community, empowerment, inclusion, partnership, and trust—reflect the mission and spirit of Padua Academy and reinforce why this partnership is so meaningful to us.
More Than a Shirt
While the shirt itself symbolizes awareness, strength, and sisterhood, the campaign’s greater impact is the way it brought our school community together. Wearing the shirt on October 24 allowed students and staff to not only show their spirit, but also to demonstrate Padua’s shared commitment to advocacy, care, and support for others.
Join the Fight
Breast Cancer Awareness Month invites all of us to reflect, support, and stand with those who are affected. Thank you to everyone who took part in this initiative. By participating, Padua students and families truly helped to wear hope, spread strength, and fight like a sister.
