Welcome New Staff

We are excited to welcome five new staff members to our Padua staff this year! Each new member brings a unique blend of expertise, passion, and dedication that promises to enrich our educational community. While we've introduced each of our new teachers on our social media platforms, it is also compiled here:

Beth Cronin

We are delighted to welcome the newest addition to our Math Department at Padua Academy, Beth Cronin. She will be our new Geometry teacher, and we are thrilled to have her on board! Beth Cronin brings with her an impressive 34-year career in the Cecil County Public School system. Throughout her tenure, she has taught middle school math and science, served as an Assistant Principal and Principal, and also taught high school Algebra and Geometry. At Padua, she will be sharing her expertise by teaching Geometry.

In her free time, Beth enjoys baking, basement art projects and sewing. She loves spending time at the beach with her husband of 32 years and two adult children. Beth is excited to begin a new chapter at Padua Academy and looks forward to meeting new students and their families.

Asa Equels

We are pleased to introduce the newest Technology & World Language Department member at Padua Academy, Asa Equels. Asa will teach AP Computer Science Principles, Intro to IT, Spanish I, and Honors Spanish I. We are excited to have him join our team!

Asa brings with him valuable experience in education, having taught Spanish at Salesianum from 2018 to 2021, where he also served as an assistant coach for the Cross Country and Track & Field teams and will continue to do so. Before his time in Wilmington, Asa worked as a teaching assistant for Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and later as a teaching assistant for Spanish at the University of Delaware.

Outside of his teaching commitments, Asa has a strong passion for running, which he shares with his fiancée, Emily Natrin, an alumna of Padua. The couple will get married at St. Anthony's of Padua this September and are eager to continue building their life together in Wilmington.

Asa looks forward to starting his journey as a teacher at Padua this fall. He expressed his excitement, saying, "I have grown to love Wilmington since I moved here, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to engage with the community once again. The faculty and staff have been incredibly kind and welcoming, and I cannot wait to meet the students and have a wonderful school year!"

Morgan Sperratore-Colagreco

We are delighted to introduce the latest addition to the Science & Math Department at Padua Academy, Mrs. Morgan Sperratore-Colagreco. Mrs. Sperratore-Colagreco will teach Chemistry and Algebra 1. We are excited to have her join our team!

Morgan's educational journey is a testament to her dedication. She pursued her studies at Cabrini University, achieving a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specialization in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology. Her academic pursuits continued with a Master's in Biological Sciences and a Master's in Secondary Education focusing on Biology. A distinguished researcher, Morgan actively participated in Cabrini University's research lab, engaging in diverse subjects such as the earthworm immune system and phage protein purification. Her scholarly endeavors culminated in the publication of five journal articles. This school year will be her 7th year of teaching.

In her spare time, Morgan enjoys crafting with her Cricut and spending time with her 3 dogs (Hallie Rose, Harlee Quinn, & Jackson Charles) and her newlywed husband. She will be coaching the Freshman Volleyball team this fall and hopes to help with lacrosse too! Morgan is excited to start this new school year at Padua and looks forward to sharing her passion for science and math with the community.

Keith Rolph

We are pleased to introduce the latest addition to the Social Studies department at Padua Academy, Mr. Keith Rolph. Mr. Rolph will teach World History, United States History, and Psychology.

Keith is a lifelong Delaware resident. He has taught grades from 4th through 12th and, for the last 29 years, has served the Brandywine School District as a Social Studies Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in History from West Chester University and a Master's Degree from Wilmington University in Instructional Leadership.

Keith and his wife Beth are the proud parents of three children: Matt, Salesianum’18, and two Padua alumnae Katie Rolph ‘20, and Liz Rolph ‘23. Keith shares that, “Padua Academy has been fundamental to the growth and development of our daughters and has been a wonderful experience for them. I am excited to join and contribute to the team that has created this educational environment for them and so many others.”

In his free time, Keith enjoys music, theater, fishing, travel, and being in the outdoors. Keith is excited to begin a new chapter at Padua Academy, share his passion for Social Studies, meet new students and their families, and engage in the greater school community.

Christine Campbell

We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Christine Campbell back to the Padua Academy Science Department!

Most recently, Christine taught Chemistry at Ursuline Academy. Before that, Mrs. Campbell taught Chemistry, Physics, and Algebra at Padua. Before Padua, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry. With her expertise in Chemistry and a solid educational background, including a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware and an M.S. in Secondary Science Education from St. Joseph’s University, Mrs. Campbell is a valuable addition to our team. Her experience in teaching Chemistry at various levels and her pharmaceutical industry background add a unique dimension to her role.

Christine enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters, and chocolate lab in her free time. They hike and experience everything nature has to offer. She is an avid runner and triathlete and will compete in the Boston Marathon in April. Christine also loves reading, particularly contemporary and historical fiction and compelling memoirs. Her dedication to hands-on learning and student engagement aligns perfectly with our educational approach.

We're excited to have Mrs. Campbell back and look forward to the positive impact she'll make as she returns to Padua Academy.
