Athletic Training

ATI Physical Therapy’s Athletic Trainers are nationally certified and state licensed. The athletic trainers work with athletes at all levels of their sports and are specialists in the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries. We provide part- and full-time contracts for athletic training services to any group, school, college, professional team, or business. Athletic training services can be tailored to fit any situation or need. This specialized service ensures that athletes of all levels are able to safely compete at their competitive best!

Padua’s Athletic Training Team

Lisa Boyer, MS, ATC, LAT
Lisa graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Athletic Training in 1995. She graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1996. Lisa has been with ATI Physical Therapy since 1992 and is the Director of Sports Medicine for ATI’s East Coast Division.

Joseph J. Mesa, MD
Dr. Joseph J. Mesa was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, and graduated from Salesianum High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph’s University and a Doctorate of Medicine from Jefferson Medical College. He completed a research fellowship at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. He completed both his surgical internship and orthopedic residency at SUNY and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Miami. Dr. Mesa is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine.
