Padua Academy's Technology Department provides infrastructure and resources to support each student's individual course load.

Our Technology Department

The Technology Department supports students and faculty at Padua Academy in acquiring and executing digital learning skills. The 1:1 laptop program, which requires students to lease a MacBook Air, enhances Padua’s curriculum and provides for new learning opportunities.

In managing our systems to ensure optimal performance, the Technology Department provides infrastructure for the Padua community to use digital tools in a modernized learning environment. This involves the newly installed PaperCut software, which makes printing available to all students and reduces the environmental impact.

1:1 Laptop Program

As a Padua Student, students are required to participate in our laptop 1:1 program. Students will receive a Space Gray 13" Apple MacBook Air with a charger. The MacBook Air specifications are as follows
  • Apple M2 chip with 8‑core CPU, 8‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine
  • 8GB unified memory
  • 256GB SSD storage

  • MagSafe 3 charging port

To purchase a plastic hard shell protective case, you will need to use the laptop’s “A” number (A2681) to ensure that you purchase the correct case size.

All students connect their laptop only to the “PaduaStudent” wifi. You will be been given a key (known as a PSK) that allows you to connect.
