United States Naval Academy Appointment

On April 25th we honored Senior Morgan Dawson on her United States Naval Academy appointment! Students, faculty, staff, and members of Morgan's family and friends filled the Learning Commons to celebrate this tremendous achievement which is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and character. During her Padua years, Morgan's commitment to her education was evident with her superior GPA while playing two varsity sports. She also received nominations from both Senator Chris Coons and Senator Tom Carper.

Opening remarks were made by Director of College Advisement and School Counseling Joel Lang, followed by Morgan's teacher Mrs. Lisa Kowalski to add a few words. Then Mr. Brad Boyd, Delaware Coordinator for the United States Naval Academy Information Program, presented Morgan with her appointment script. Also in attendance were representatives from Senator Coon's office: Cleopatra Jones, Veterans and Military Advocate, and Desiree Burritt, Senior Constituent Advocate and Service Academy Coordinator and Padua Academy Alumnae.
We are incredibly #PaduaPROUD of Morgan's accomplishments during her four years here on Broom Street. We look forward to seeing all the incredible things Morgan will accomplish as a Midshipman. Congratulations again, and best of luck on this exciting new journey!  More pictures available on our facebook page.
