Padua Soccer Wins 10th State Championship Title

The Padua Soccer team won its 10th State Championship against Wilmington Charter on Saturday, June 1st with a score of 4-1 in the DIAA State Tournament! The game started out with junior Paige Kenton shooting into the bottom left of the net from senior captain Kristi Cox in the 17th minute. Sophomore Bri Hallo scored an amazing shot over the keeper's head off a free kick in the 38th minute. Opening up the second half, a player on Charter scored off a free kick, but the Pandas responded within five minutes. Hallo scored another amazing free kick to put the Pandas up 3-1. To finish out the game, sophomore Sophie Marini scored with an assist from Hallo. 
 
The Pandas obtained their back-to-back state championship and 10th overall for the school. Great Season Ladies!!!!
