Padua Alumna Returns to Speak with Students

Padua alumna, Lauren O'Connell Mahler, Esq. '03, wife of Mr. Mahler and sister of Mrs. O'Connell, visited Mrs. Pugliese's Modern U.S. History and Government courses on Thursday, April 11. 

 

Mrs. Mahler shared her experiences as a judicial clerk and as a lawyer in both education law and most recently as Assistant Public Defender with the Delaware Office of Defense Services in the juvenile unit. She discussed her pathway into her career area, and encouraged students to choose careers that support something they truly believe in, as she did. An important part of her message to students was "Don't judge people by their worst mistakes." Thank you to Mrs. Mahler for her insightful and informative discussion!
