French Students Get a "Taste" of Experiential Learning

Students in Madame Boyle's French 4 class enjoyed a hands-on lesson last week. They were challenged to a cook-off in the Padua cafeteria. Reading comprehension was assessed through students' ability to assemble two recipes given to them completely in French.

In small groups, students prepared croque monsieur, gaufres, taco dip, and Oreo "dirt." Students worked together, asked questions in French, and learned new vocabulary through comprehension of the French recipes. Great job, ladies!
