From the Head of School - Dec. 17, 2018

Dear Parents & Friends,

Advent is such a splendid time of listening to small sounds, seeing beyond the sky, and touching a person's heart. Lately, I have been concentrating on fathers. Maybe my concentration comes because we celebrated the Father Daughter Dinner Dance and the Father Daughter Trip to NYC recently. I have seen so many dads laughing and having fun with their daughters.

During these days, dwell on the days before the birth of Jesus. Some of us certainly know what it is like in our own lives as first-time mothers. It is a time of wonder, anticipation, and fear all mixed into our hearts. But, have you ever contemplated what it must have been like for Joseph? He was a young man who was faced with a gigantic "catch 22" problem - a problem that could not be solved by man alone. These "catch 22" issues most often are born from your head telling you one thing and your heart telling you another. Joseph's path had to be made clear to him only by God's communication through His angels. God calmed Joseph's fears and made it possible for the moaning, worrying, and wringing of hands to STOP IMMEDIATELY. If we are ready as Joseph was, we must open ourselves to trust, to love, and to obedience of our loving Father God.

Thank you my dear friends for letting all of us at Padua be a part of your daughters' and your families' lives. You are so very precious to me and to all of the Padua Faculty and Staff. We pray for your continued journey in Advent and a very Blessed Christmas.

Will you pray with me?

O Jesus Christ, our joy is found in your faithful and inexhaustible love for every one of us. Use this Advent and Christmas season to bring us into Your glorious light.

Amen

I love you all,
Cindy Mann
