Adasia Harris and Tatiana Mendez Selected to the Governor's School for Visual Arts

Adasia Harris and Tatiana Mendez, both sophomores at Padua were chosen for The Delaware Governor's School for Excellence, a weeklong summer residential program sponsored by the Office of the Governor of Delaware. Participants are among Delaware's most academically and artistically gifted rising eleventh graders. The selection process for Governor's School is highly competitive. Acceptance to any of the arts programs is based on performance criteria and judges include University faculty members and outside experts in the arts. The visual arts curriculum consists of college level education, leadership training, and recreational activities throughout the week. Students live in dorms on the University of Delaware campus, attend field trips, workshops, and interact with other students throughout the state of Delaware.  Special thank you to Mrs. Denise Vitollo who nominated both students and helped them prepare their portfolios! Congratulations Adasia and Tatiana!
