Celebrate Women's Achievement

With the first all-female spacewalk planned for March 29th, our theme for the 10th Annual Dinner in Honor of Women's Achievement could not be more fitting. Padua will celebrate its milestone event - featuring Peggy Whitson, PhD, record-breaking NASA astronaut and biochemist - at the Chase Center on the Riverfront on April 11th. Dr. Whitson was the first woman to command the International Space Station and spent more time in space than any other American.

Check out Dr. Whitson's recent appearance on CBS This Morning in which she advocates for a strong STEM education, especially for women. Dr. Whitson also describes the first all-female spacewalk in history - both spacewalkers as well as the lead flight director and lead spacewalk officer are women. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6fSK66pRPQ

Padua's Dinner in Honor of Women's Achievement was established to recognize the accomplishments of women who lead lives of faith, leadership, charity, and entrepreneurial innovation. The honorees reflect Padua's mission of inspiring young women to live Christ-centered lives of leadership and service.
