Prepare Her for the HSPT

Padua Academy offers a course to help eighth-grade girls better prepare for the High School Placement Test (HSPT), lessen any anxiety they may have about taking the HSPT, and learn effective test-taking skills and strategies.

This year's prep course will be taking place on Saturday, October 16 and Saturday, October 30, 2021.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for this year's HSPT tests (which will be held on your choice of Saturday, November 13 or Sunday, November 14), is available using this link, or the button below.

  • Who is eligible to attend?

    Any female students who are enrolled in eighth grade.
  • When will it be held?

    This two-part course will be held: 
    • Saturday, October 16, 2021 (9:00am-2:00pm)
    • Saturday, October 30, 2021 (9:00am-2:00pm)
    *Students will only meet for 2.5 hrs max each day. You will be sent your daughter's specific times prior to the first meeting. Asynchronous work will be sent out to be completed prior to each date.
     
  • What does it cost?

    The total cost for both sessions is $100 per student (total cost for both sessions).
  • What is included in the course?

    • Lessons with Padua Faculty at each session covering:
      • Verbal and Reading
      • Mathematics
      • General Test-Taking Strategies
    • HSPT Course Textbook
    The registration deadline is October 8th, 2021; please be aware that the course will probably fill before this date.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration in the HSPT Prep Course does not automatically register students for the High School Placement Test. 

Students enrolled in Catholic schools in Delaware will receive Test Registration Forms from their grade schools. Registration forms are available online in the fall.
