Sports Reporter Visits Broadcasting and Journalism Classes

WDEL’s Sport Director and reporter Sean Greene visited Padua’s journalism and television classes this morning. He shared insight into his daily life of a sports reporter. Although he works in radio, his job requires him to write and produce video as well. He attends games, takes photos, shoots video, and conducts interviews. After the game, he writes and publishes the story and edits and produces the video for the station’s website. Finally, he promotes the story and video through social media. He encouraged students who are interested in journalism to constantly explore new technology and to be prepared for long days of hard but rewarding work.
