Application Process

1. Students who will enter as freshmen are required to take a Placement Test offered each year in December. They must register in advance to take the test, and registration forms are available in October from the Diocese of Wilmington Catholic Schools Office, Padua Academy, and the diocesan grade schools. Students who have documented learning differences and who would benefit from additional time are permitted to take the test with extended time.

2. After the Placement Test is administered, we contact the student's grade school and request her report cards, standardized test scores, and a school recommendation.

3. Acceptances for students who meet our standards are mailed out early in February. Students who score low on the Placement Test, or whose report cards indicate problems with grades, attendance, or behavior, are required to meet with the Director of Admission for a short interview.

4. If the Admission Committee determines that an applicant can succeed in our program and will be a positive, contributing member of the Padua community, we will accept her for admission.
