Campus Ministry

The office of Campus Ministry, which is responsible for the spiritual life of the school, coordinates the activities that support the faith-development of Padua’s students, faculty, and staff.

As a community rooted in the Gospel and modeled on the values of St. Francis de Sales and St. Francis of Assisi, each school day begins and ends with prayer.  Read along with the Pledge of Allegiance each morning before announcements and at the beginning of last period everyday, prayer surrounds our community.

Students also have the opportunity to attend Padua’s daily Prayer/Communion Service, which is held in the Chapel at 7:45 a.m.  Parents are always welcome to join us at our morning service.

School-wide liturgies are celebrated on holy days and feast days as well as special masses for the opening and closing of the school year.  The church has called liturgy, “the work of the people,” and at Padua it is the work of the students who serve as Lectors, Altar Servers, Musicians, Cantors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and members of the Liturgy Committee.  As a community, we also celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation and Stations of the Cross.

Mrs. Vanessa Vavala, the Director of Campus Ministry, can be reached at (302) 421-3739, ext. 121.
