Model, Business Mogul & Pro-Life Philanthropist to be Honored at 6th Annual Gala

Kathy Ireland, former supermodel turned CEO and chief designer of her remarkably successful design and marketing company, Kathy Ireland Worldwide (kiWW) will be honored at the 6th Annual Padua Academy Dinner in Honor of Women’s Achievement. The event will be held April 16, 2015, at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware. Founded in 1993, Kathy’s company has become a, “design empire which grosses over 2.2 billion dollars annually in retail sales,” as reported by Forbes magazine.

In addition to her work as one of the nation’s top female CEO’s, Kathy is a strong vocal advocate fighting against the exploitation of children in human trafficking, a global philanthropist for Christian-based education, and an outspoken advocate for the pro-life movement. “I’ve always been the type of person who fights against every type of oppression towards women. This isn’t a woman’s rights issue [pro-life]; it’s a human rights issue. Don’t let anyone ever silence you on this issue!,” Ireland recently told an audience. Her work with the Providence Educational Foundation also works to support the development of innovative, high-quality, Christian education that facilitates intellectual, social, and spiritual growth.

Padua’s Annual Dinner in Honor of Women’s Achievement recognizes the exceptional accomplishments of women who lead lives of faith, charity, leadership, and entrepreneurial innovation. Past recipients include: Rwandan Genocide Survivor, Immaculee Ilibagiza; former United States Ambassador, Mary Ann Glendon; New York Times best-selling author Liz Murray; former First Lady of the United States, Laura Bush, and the inspirational subject of “The Blind Side,” Leigh Anne Tuohy. Voted one of America’s Top 50 Catholic High Schools, Padua offers a unique, cutting-edge, and transformational college preparatory education for young women.
