Kelly Muschiatti Receives her Padua Diploma

On Wednesday, January 17, our sister Kelly Muschiatti became a Padua graduate and alumnae. We are so grateful for her fighting spirit never to give up. We will never give up on her, and we will continue to support her on her journey forward.

Padua surprised Kelly and her mother Theresa Muschiatti on the snowy Wednesday morning with an assembly to mark the occasion of Kelly reaching her graduation milestone. The two arrived at Padua expecting to pick up Kelly’s diploma from Mrs. Cindy Hayes Mann, but that just seemed so mundane and anti-climactic for someone who has worked so hard. When Kelly arrived, she was asked to put on her cap and gown and head up to the gymnasium where she witnessed all of her classmates, some family and friends, and students from the Class of 2016 clapping with joy. Assistant Vice Principal, Dr. Mary McClory, read the official wording of the diploma and handed the leather bound booklet to Kelly. Mrs. Mann presented Kelly with a yellow rose, in full bloom, and told Kelly to move her tassel from right to left. It was now official!!

Kelly chose not to speak to the crowd, but her mother spoke on her behalf, thanking the Padua Community for all of their prayers, love, and support. She said that there was so much love from all of the Catholic schools, the Padua students, faculty, and alum. She acknowledged that without the support of Padua, Kelly could not have achieved this milestone.
