Eleven “Keys” and Nineteen Honorable Mentions at the 2018 Scholastic Art Awards

Congratulations to our Padua art students who were awarded for their submissions to the Scholastic Art Awards. Padua came away with four Gold Key Awards, seven Silver Keys, and nineteen Honorable Mentions. Two Gold Keys each for Sophia Riveros (photography) and Emily Torres (printmaking). Silver Key award winners were Anna Doyle, Ursula Dzik, Eliza Hyde, Hannah Jeker, Christa Mumley, Sara Papillo and Hannah Scott. All Gold Key recipients are forwarded for the next round of national awards and honors.

Students who received Honorable Mention are Colleen Banker, Catherine Bohnenberger, Hannah Derrickson, Ursula Dzik, Theresa Edwards (2), Kayla Gonzon, Brittany Knob (3), Kaitlyn Koense, Tatiana Mendez, Sara Papillo (2), Abigail Press, Hannah Scott, and Georgia Volpe (2). 

The Gold and Silver Key Awards will be on exhibit at Delaware State University’s Arts Center Gallery until February 10, when there will be a reception and an awards ceremony starting at 9:00 am.
