Class of 2021 Freshman Orientation Day

On August 24, 2017, the Class of 2021 came to the campus of Padua Academy for their Freshman Orientation day. All dressed in their uniforms and the coveted “nun” shoes, the young ladies eagerly entered the doors of 905 Broom Street to get a “day in the life” of their high school. They were welcomed by “Paddy Panda” and Mrs. Cindy Hayes Mann, along with our Student Council Executives as they arrived and headed to Roberto Hall. They started the day with prayer, led by campus minister Mrs. Vanessa Vavela, followed by a word from each of the student council execs. The morning presentation was topped off by our Head of School, Mrs. Mann, sharing with our new students how proud she is to have these exceptional young women as part of the Padua Sisterhood and the story of her “pink shoes.”

The day continued homeroom visits, getting their ID badges, finding the location of their lockers, attending some classes and enjoying lunch together. Special presentations were given on Technology, other school information and special programs, along with a tour of the building.

We will welcome the sophomores, juniors, and seniors on Tues., Aug. 29th for a half day to meet with their APS group, get new ID’s and take care of other business. The first official day of school is Wednesday, August 30th!

We are looking forward to a great 2017-18 school year here at Padua Academy.
