Welcome to Padua!

Rooted in the Catholic faith, Padua Academy offers young women a transformational college preparatory education, challenging them to live Christ-centered lives of leadership and service.

  • Spirituality

    • As a community rooted in the Gospel and modeled on the values of St. Francis de Sales and St. Francis of Assisi, prayer surrounds our community. We take great responsibility in supporting the faith development of our students, faculty, and staff. Although the majority of our families are Catholic, our students and faculty come from a variety of religious backgrounds. Our religious education program prepares students to accept responsibility for their mission of living the Gospel, nurtures in students the ability to make moral decisions, and fosters in students the knowledge and appreciation of Padua's Catholic heritage.

Each school day begins and ends with prayer, and we regularly celebrate school-wide liturgies. Our students serve as extraordinary ministers of the Eucharistic and become involved in our student-run retreat program, Teens Encounter Christ. By teaching and living the Gospel of Christ, we help our students develop strong spiritual habits and enthusiasm for a God-centered life.

  • Scholarship

    • As a college preparatory school, Padua Academy readies students for success at the college level and beyond. Our academic programs and activities stimulate students’ critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual curiosity. We offer a varied curriculum to develop the academic potential of our students and to prepare them for future studies. With smaller class sizes, each student receives individual attention and is encouraged to explore deeply her intellectual gifts. Our students discover their potential and graduate with great confidence to pursue any field of advanced study.

Colleges and universities consistently tell us that Padua graduates are among their best prepared incoming students. Our graduates merit generous academic and athletic scholarships from prestigious colleges and universities across the country.

  • Service

    • Padua's patron, St. Francis of Assisi once said, "Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary, use words." Padua students live this philosophy through servant leadership, a core value at our school. At Padua, we teach the importance of actions as a reflection of faith. We believe that an educated young woman has a responsibility to give back to the community.

Beyond the doors of Padua Academy, each student is given an opportunity to serve members of the local community who are in need. Padua's Learning Through Service program helps students realize the value of service to others and recognize their responsibility for global stewardship. Service projects instill leadership, self-discipline, and social cooperation; furthermore, they encourage students to develop effective decision-making skills and personal accountability. Padua students serve the community with humble enthusiasm, earning recognition for Padua Academy through The Jefferson Awards - Deloitte Youth Service Initiative.

  • Sisterhood

    • Padua Academy is a school with many special traditions and activities, all of which are rooted in the bond of sisterhood. This unique experience begins with Freshman Camp and the Big Sister/Little Sister program and continues throughout the four years of high school. This sisterhood matures into a network of alumnae who remain connected beyond graduation, reuniting professionally and personally to support and celebrate one another throughout their adult lives.
